The Sew it goes tote is the perfect accessory to keep your English paper piecing or other hand sewing project organized and ready to work on for when those pockets of time come up. This tote looks like a pretty purse on the outside, but opens up to be a long organizer that fits neatly in your lap or on the back of the couch while you work.

The Sew it goes tote is packed full of handy features: On the outside, there is an exterior slip pocket that holds a super cute mini design board to hold your project when you don’t have a flat surface handy.

On the inside, the top panel has a zippered pencil pocket to hold long narrow items. The middle panel has a gathered scissors pocket and needle flap, along with two smaller clear zipper pockets. The bottom panel has a large clear zipper pocket that can hold a bobbin ring or other larger items. Behind the bottom panel’s zipper pocket is another slip pocket, perfect for holding your project pattern or a quart-sized zip-top bag with more fabric or papers. All of the zipper pockets have side and bottom gussets so they can hold more items without puckering the bag.

There are also three strap options: a short hand strap so you can add your tote to your everyday bag, a longer shoulder strap, or a cross-body strap so you can carry it like a purse.

This pattern has very detailed instructions and over 100 digital illustrations to make it straightforward to put together. I would not recommend it for beginners, but none of the steps are very difficult.
