Mosaic tablecloth
- Started: September 2013
- Finished: October 2013
- Size: about 65″ square.
When my parents were cleaning out their house, they came across this linen tablecloth from when they were first married. They gave it to me as they hadn’t used it in years. I turned it into a quilt with a mosaic/glass tile border. The mosaic squares are 1″ finished and there are 1,308 of them! They actually went together pretty quickly as I did some strip piecing to simplify things.
This is a double-sided quilt—the other side is my Blue Heartstrings quilt, which I made from my Grandmother’s fabric stash after she passed away.
