Block lotto baby

  • Started: April 2012
  • Finished: October 2012
  • Size: about 40″ x 50″

The Minneapolis Modern Quilt Guild used to have a “block lotto” monthly–everyone who made that month’s blocks got put into a drawing and the winner took all the blocks home. I won these snowball blocks. I was excited to win, but I had no idea what to do with them–at the time I think I might have had about six print fabrics in my entire stash! I took the few prints that I did have and made some pinwheel and nine-patch blocks and cobbled it together. I’m not super pleased with the results, but it was at least finished. This quilt was donated to charity.
