So, I made a set of felt food for Johanna for her birthday a month from now. Making play food is totally addictive and is a nice activity for when you are stuck in a chair for 16 hours a day feeding your newborn.

This is what I have finished so far:
Pizza + toppings. The toppings are all removeable so she can make her own. We have red and green peppers, onions, mushrooms, and black olives.

Veggie burger + fixin’s. Again, all the toppings are removable. We have a sesame seed bun, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion rings, ketchup and mustard splorts, and a burger. I still want to make some fries to go with it.

Ravioli + sauce.

Green salad. There are lettuce leaves, carrots, and tomato slices.

Fruit salad. It has mandarin oranges, kiwifruit, pineapple, banana, apple, and strawberry.

Pancakes with syrup and margarine. The syrup and margarine are attached.

Set of six cookies with “sprinkles” (beads).

Bento lunch, packed into a 7″ double-decker steamer.

The first layer has spring rolls, snow peas, carrot flowers, an onigiri, some soba noodles in a lettuce cup, and sushi grass.

The second layer has sushi rolls, pickled ginger, potstickers, a sad little octo-dog, and more sushi grass.

I finally got motivated to finish the pita sandwich today that was almost done. I made pita pockets, spinach, avocado, more tomatoes, hummus and tzatziki blobs, cucumber, and falafel balls.

I picked up a set of round Lock & Locks a couple of weeks ago on sale that work perfectly to contain everything.
